Do you have the Key West bug?

Sunset at Mallory Square

We all have those friends, you know…who LOVE Key West so much they want to live here too. I’ve had a lot of visitors this month and I love it! When my friends come to visit me it gets me out and about in town and I appreciate the reasons why I live here. I’ve come to recognize the friends that have a certain problem and it’s what I call, “The Key West bug.” I should know, I had it for 11 years. These are the friends that are planning, plotting, and can’t wait to MOVE here! Some have lived here before and want to come back and some just visit so often they already feel like they live here. I just want to say thank you to all the wonderful friends and visitors that come here and make us remember how great it really is to live here. I really do hope that you make it back someday and get to enjoy our paradise year round. I always say there are 2 types of people, “The ones who talk about it, and the ones who do it!” Which one will you be?

I definitely have the bug, Kathryn! We just returned from our seventh getaway to KW, and we miss our “second home” already. My husband and I both have work obligations that tie us to the NYC metro area for another decade. Until then, we have to settle for our tastes of paradise.

To get my Key West fix when back home up east, I enjoy daydreaming about it. I share some of those daydreams (photos included) on my blog, Margarita Moments and Other Escapes.

I enjoy reading other Key West blogs too. Like yours! Keep it up. 🙂

Thanks Jolyse! I love it here and don’t plan on ever leaving. I hope you can make down sooner rather than later. 😉
